Robert B. McEntire

He was born and raised on the mean streets of Lufkin. And while his radio career took him to garden spots like Beaumont, he would find his way to Space City's #1 morning show, and eventually earn the tile of "The World's Greatest News Man." Enjoy our sit-down with KILT's Robert "Butch" McEntire. 

Tom Fontaine

You might remember him as "Danger Man' from KILT's Hudson and Harrigan show.  Or, his days as the 7pm-Midnight personality on Houston's 100.3fm.  Tom started at the bottom, and worked his way up to middays prior to his departure, and talks his time at the legendary country station, and his misadventures along the way. 

Kevin McCarthy

He's a Texas Radio Hall of Fame charter inductee.  One of the greatest talk-radio personalities in D/FW radio history.  When most considered him 'done' he was just getting warmed up for a second act that took him to national fame and new career heights.  *But, he did take a few moments to speak of the low points in his career and his humble beginnings as a very young radio man, and the BIG break that brought him to the Lone Star State.  Enjoy our chat with Kevin McCarthy. 

Joe Ladd

When the talk turns to ICONIC country radio personalities in Houston, Texas, his name is one of the first (if not THE FIRST) to come up.  Joe Ladd had a storied career in Southeast Texas, and most of it spent at the legendary KIKK in Houston.  Joe talks about the rise of KIKK-FM, Gilley's, Urban Cowboy, KIKKer stickers, his time as the manager for Mark Chesnutt and the absolute heyday of country radio in Houston, Texas. 

Dan Gallo

Dan Gallo's time on the gulf coast of Texas goes back farther than most know. Long before his time at KNUZ, KLOL, and KENR.  Many recall his days of daytime dominance on KILT-FM, and his subsequent 20 year career at KTHT (Country Legends 97.1) -Dan has much to say  *which was never really a stretch for the guy who is still active in broadcasting today, now as a nationally syndicated radio personality for SuiteRadio and their affiliate stations across the nation.

Cactus Jack Talley

Jack Barnes is a man of many talents-and many names.  Prior to his arrival at KKBQ (93Q) in Houston, he was night time dominator "Jack Da Wack" on WHTZ (Z100 in New York) and some might even recall his time on WEZB (B97fm) or WNOE (1060am) in New Orleans. Jack talks his days at "Q Country," his formative years in radio, and his very humble beginnings in Mississippi so long ago that even HE cannot remember the year. *Then, there is the IMUS encounter. 

Andy Waldrop

"Rowd and Ange" ruled the ratings roost on KILT-FM in for many years. It was not a planned partnership, but a fantastic, eventual ensemble show that evolved during their time at KIKK and KILT in the 1990's and 2000's.  Enjoy their chat about memorable moments and the magnificent members that made up "The Rowdy Bunch" in Houston, Texas.

He's the newly elected Pct. 4 Constable for Ft. Bend County.  We had a chance to chat with him about his new title, the responsibilities of his office, how it impacts a number of communities that his Deputies patrol, and quite a few things about the office most never knew, and ever-expanding role it plays in our everyday lives. 

A Visit with Daniel Wong

Daniel Wong is an internationally recognized and respected businessman. He served on the City Council in Sugar Land, Texas for three impressive terms.  He has announced his candidacy for Ft. Bend County Judge, and I could not wait to have a chat with him.  He is my friend, he will do GREAT things if elected, and yes; he gets my enthusiastic endorsement.
